Last week I was active as a moderator at ‘dx talks’, a nice and creative event of the successful Dutch Microsoft Dynamics 365 partner Datamex.
Since traditional, on-site customer events are not possible these days, the company decided to organize something different. They rented the pop venue Gebouw-T in Bergen op Zoom and invited some of their customers, a few vendors, a representative of the industry association and a professional film crew for a series of round table discussions of one hour each focused on their three vertical markets.
The conversations were not about functions and features, as one would expect. On the contrary! We focused on the business trends in these specific markets. On how to handle the challenges of increasingly demanding customers. On the impact that has on their business processes. And the kind of leadership that is demanded these days.
Datamex will use the recordings to distil a series of short videos that they will use on their website and in social media.
This is what Rik Peters, CEO of Datamex Business Software said:
"We got to know Guus during our Microsoft D365 Business Central training courses. We noticed his vast experience and broad knowledge of business applications and the Microsoft world. Given his experience, he was our first choice when we started looking for a moderator for our VODcast "dx talks" - the on-line event where experts from the Furniture, Wholesale & Steel market come together. Guus has more than lived up to our expectations. According to one of our participants, he can easily start as a television talk show host!”
